Bien comprendre leurs diff\u00e9rences est crucial pour s\u00e9lectionner un EPI adapt\u00e9 aux conditions de travail, au type d\u2019arc et \u00e0 l\u2019exposition thermique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>EN 11611 : la norme pour les travaux de soudage courants<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La norme EN 11611 d\u00e9finit les exigences minimales pour les <strong>v\u00eatements destin\u00e9s aux soudeurs et activit\u00e9s similaires<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Elle prot\u00e8ge contre <strong>les projections de m\u00e9tal en fusion<\/strong> et <strong>la chaleur rayonnante mod\u00e9r\u00e9e<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Deux classes existent : <strong>Classe 1<\/strong> pour des travaux \u00e0 faible risque thermique et <strong>Classe 2<\/strong> pour une protection accrue.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Le v\u00eatement doit \u00eatre con\u00e7u pour r\u00e9sister \u00e0 des \u00e9clats m\u00e9talliques et limiter le contact avec les surfaces chaudes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cette norme convient aux op\u00e9rations de soudage <strong>standard<\/strong>, telles que le MIG ou le TIG sur des pi\u00e8ces de taille moyenne et dans des environnements bien ventil\u00e9s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>EN 11612 : protection renforc\u00e9e contre la chaleur et les flammes<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La norme EN 11612 concerne les <strong>v\u00eatements r\u00e9sistants \u00e0 la chaleur et aux flammes<\/strong>, mais avec une exigence plus \u00e9lev\u00e9e :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Elle inclut la r\u00e9sistance \u00e0 la <strong>chaleur convective, rayonnante et de contact<\/strong>, ainsi qu\u2019aux <strong>\u00e9tincelles et projections prolong\u00e9es<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Les v\u00eatements sont class\u00e9s selon plusieurs lettres :\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>A<\/strong> pour r\u00e9sistance aux flammes ouvertes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>B<\/strong> pour chaleur convective<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>C<\/strong> pour chaleur rayonnante<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>D<\/strong> pour chaleur de contact<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>E<\/strong> pour petites projections de m\u00e9tal en fusion<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>F<\/strong> pour grandes projections de m\u00e9tal en fusion<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cette norme est adapt\u00e9e aux travaux <strong>exigeants ou prolong\u00e9s<\/strong>, notamment sur des pi\u00e8ces volumineuses ou dans des environnements industriels \u00e0 forte densit\u00e9 thermique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Diff\u00e9rences entre EN 11611 et EN 11612<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Alors que EN 11611 prot\u00e8ge principalement contre les <strong>projections et la chaleur mod\u00e9r\u00e9e<\/strong>, EN 11612 s\u2019applique lorsque :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Les soudeurs sont expos\u00e9s \u00e0 des <strong>grandes quantit\u00e9s de m\u00e9tal en fusion<\/strong> ou \u00e0 des arcs \u00e9lectriques puissants.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>La <strong>dur\u00e9e d\u2019exposition<\/strong> est longue et la chaleur accumul\u00e9e devient significative.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Les op\u00e9rations combinent <strong>flammes, projections et chaleur rayonnante<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En r\u00e9sum\u00e9, EN 11612 correspond \u00e0 un <strong>niveau sup\u00e9rieur de protection<\/strong>, tandis qu\u2019EN 11611 suffit pour des interventions courtes ou ponctuelles avec des risques limit\u00e9s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Exemples tangibles de travaux n\u00e9cessitant EN 11611<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Certains travaux ne n\u00e9cessitent pas la protection maximale mais un EPI certifi\u00e9 EN 11611 :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Soudage MIG sur petites pi\u00e8ces d\u2019acier dans un atelier ventil\u00e9.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Brasage l\u00e9ger ou d\u00e9coupe de pi\u00e8ces fines avec un chalumeau \u00e0 faible intensit\u00e9.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Travaux de maintenance sur petites structures m\u00e9talliques sans accumulation de chaleur.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dans ces situations, un v\u00eatement EN 11611 <strong>Classe 1 ou 2<\/strong> suffit pour limiter les br\u00fblures et les projections sans surcharger le soudeur avec des v\u00eatements trop \u00e9pais.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Exemples de travaux n\u00e9cessitant EN 11612<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Les travaux de haute intensit\u00e9 thermique n\u00e9cessitent un EPI certifi\u00e9 EN 11612 :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Soudage TIG ou plasma sur grandes structures m\u00e9talliques expos\u00e9es \u00e0 des arcs puissants.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Travaux sur des installations industrielles avec projections importantes ou chaleur prolong\u00e9e (p\u00e9trochimie, fonderie, construction navale).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Utilisation de chalumeaux ou meuleuses sur des mat\u00e9riaux tr\u00e8s conducteurs de chaleur.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Environnements o\u00f9 la proximit\u00e9 des flammes ou des m\u00e9taux en fusion est in\u00e9vitable.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Selon les donn\u00e9es d\u2019une \u00e9tude de l\u2019INRS, <strong>pr\u00e8s de 65 % des br\u00fblures graves dans les ateliers de soudage<\/strong> surviennent lors de travaux exposant simultan\u00e9ment \u00e0 la chaleur rayonnante et aux projections importantes, ce qui justifie le recours \u00e0 EN 11612.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Mat\u00e9riaux et conception des v\u00eatements<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le niveau de protection d\u00e9pend aussi du <strong>choix des mat\u00e9riaux et de la conception<\/strong> :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Fibres aramides ou m\u00e9langes modacryliques pour limiter la propagation des flammes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Coutures renforc\u00e9es pour \u00e9viter la p\u00e9n\u00e9tration de m\u00e9tal en fusion.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Manches et col con\u00e7us pour prot\u00e9ger les zones sensibles, notamment le cou et les avant-bras.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Int\u00e9gration de <strong>renforts aux \u00e9paules et aux jambes<\/strong> pour les zones les plus expos\u00e9es.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Un v\u00eatement EN 11612 est souvent plus lourd, mais cette \u00e9paisseur <strong>assure une protection sur des t\u00e2ches prolong\u00e9es<\/strong> que les mod\u00e8les EN 11611 ne peuvent garantir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Dur\u00e9e d\u2019exposition et choix de la classe<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pour d\u00e9terminer la norme adapt\u00e9e, il faut consid\u00e9rer :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>La dur\u00e9e de l\u2019intervention<\/strong> : courte = EN 11611, longue = EN 11612.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>L\u2019intensit\u00e9 thermique<\/strong> : arcs puissants ou pi\u00e8ces massives = EN 11612.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Les projections attendues<\/strong> : petites projections ponctuelles = EN 11611, grandes projections continues = EN 11612.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cette \u00e9valuation permet de <strong>r\u00e9duire le risque de br\u00fblure tout en maintenant un confort suffisant<\/strong> pour le soudeur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Former les op\u00e9rateurs \u00e0 <strong>l\u2019\u00e9valuation des risques avant chaque soudage<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>V\u00e9rifier que les <strong>v\u00eatements et gants sont adapt\u00e9s et en bon \u00e9tat<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Associer la protection individuelle \u00e0 des <strong>mesures collectives<\/strong> : \u00e9cran anti-arc, ventilation, barri\u00e8res de s\u00e9curit\u00e9.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Une \u00e9tude de la F\u00e9d\u00e9ration Europ\u00e9enne des Industries M\u00e9talliques montre que <strong>90 % des accidents li\u00e9s aux arcs pourraient \u00eatre \u00e9vit\u00e9s par une combinaison EPI adapt\u00e9e et des pratiques
